1. Departures
Actor Henry Golding embarks on a journey of self-discovery before he marries later in the year. Following a rite of passage called a "Bejalai," Henry's search for the nomadic Penan tribe in Borneo's jungle will see if he has what it takes to survive.
2. Highlands
Under the guidance of his Iban uncle, Henry Golding's journey continues as he heads to Bario, the highland home of the Kelabit tribe. While there, Henry meets Johnson, a tough but endearing Kelabit, who agrees to help him seek out the nomadic Penans.
3. Nomads
With his Kelabit guide, Henry Golding meets up with two members of the elusive Penan tribe. They teach Henry the little-known ways of their nomadic people, including what it takes to survive completely off of the rain forests in Borneo.
4. Gerawat
Soon after a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn the ways of the elusive, nomadic Penan, Henry Golding makes his way back to Bario. Enthused by his feat, the Kelabit community decides Henry is deserving of one of their highest honors: a Kelabit name.
5. Settling
During his jungle stint with the few remaining nomadic Penan, Henry Golding heard that many Penan have now been persuaded to live stationary lives. At the fringes of the Borneo jungle, he meets a former nomadic elder who has now settled with his family.
6. Inked
Henry Golding is on his last leg of his rite of passage where he meets his final challenge: the "bejalai" tattoo. For several painful hours, he subjects himself to the ancient art of hand-tapped tattooing while reflecting on his amazing journey.
